Ultrasonic Metal Welding

MECS, opening up a new future.

What is Ultrasonic Metal Welding?

Ultrasonic metal welding involves applying mechanical vibrational energy in a high-frequency ultrasonic range to the metal intended for joining, along with pressure. This generates frictional heat between the bonded surfaces of the metal, raising the temperature to the point where the molecules of both layers mix together, facilitating the bonding process through molecular fusion. The typical operating frequencies are 20kHz and 30kHz.
